Event Description:

As part of our Cooke Connections: New York City visit, the Cooke Foundation will host a Career Pathways Chat with Cooke Alums and Scholars preceded and followed by a mix-and-mingle community-building event on Friday, October 11.

Depending on their educational and career interests, Scholars may also choose to attend a company tour or job field discussion - please see below for details. Scholars: we ask that you please check your school schedules before registering to attend any of the following events; if you have class scheduled at the time of the event you are interested in, please make arrangements with your professor before registering.

Please note: travel from outside the New York City metro area will not be reimbursed.

Thursday, October 10

  • 9:30 a.m. Careers in Finance Breakfast

    • Enjoy breakfast and a discussion with Cooke Alum Nadia Vaso, who is an Investment Associate at CornerStone Partners, LLC, and Sam Offei, the COO and Global Business Manager at JP Morgan.

  • 10:00 a.m. Company Tour at Natural Resources Defense Council

    • Scholars interested in Climate/Energy, Litigation, or Green Finance and Economic Development can tour this international environmental advocacy non-profit with Cooke Alum Melanie Duenas.

  • 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Company Tour at Microsoft

Friday, October 11

  • 10 a.m. Company Tour at the Durst Organization

  • 5:30 p.m. - 6:15 p.m. Small group session for Alums and Scholars interested in technology

  • 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. PANEL DISCUSSION AND COMMUNITY SOCIAL

    • Enjoy mingling and light dinner with fellow Scholars, Cooke Alums, and Foundation staff!

    • Career Pathways Chat at 7:00 p.m. - Foundation staff will moderate a panel discussion featuring Cooke Alums Selena Zhang and Aurela Dragani.
